MAG520w3: a 4K capable Linux set-top box with HEVC support
MAG520w3 is a high-performance IPTV STB that plays 4K HDR video at 60 fps. The device is powered by Linux and supports all the modern codecs, including HEVC.
Thanks to its powerful hardware, the set-top box performs at up to 18,400 DMIPS. It is equipped with the Amlogic S905X2 chipset and the quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU. The device offers 1 GB RAM and 4 GB internal storage.
The STB supports Dolby Digital PlusTM eight-channel sound and can be connected to a home theater audio system.
The device is connected to the Internet via either a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet port or Wi-Fi. The dual-band wireless interface can work at 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz, allowing for a maximum speed of 550 Mbit/s.
MAG520w3 can play video from external storage devices, which can be connected through either of the two USB ports (2.0 and 3.0). Peripherals such as mice or keyboards can also be connected via these ports.
Qubic’s modern, miniature design blends well with all types of interiors.

Also, you can load your M3U, M3U8, PLS, or CUE playlists to the STB, while their content will be loaded from the Internet automatically.
A server in your local network or external storage, such as a hard drive, are possible alternative content sources.
