The MAG520w3 has a powerful Amlogic S905X2 chipset and an ARM Cortex-A53 CPU. Because of this hardware, the STB is 25% more powerful than prior MAG devices. The media player can go months without restarting, allowing users to keep watching their favorite TV series and movies.
It supports 4K HDR at 60 frames per second as well as other modern video formats. The H.265 (HEVC) video codec provides a seamless experience even with slow Internet connections. An eight-channel, crystal-clear Dolby Digital Plus™ surround sound system provides an immersive and exhilarating experience.
The MAG520w3 may connect to the Internet via an integrated Wi-Fi adapter or a 100 Mbit/s Ethernet port. The module comprises USB 3.0 and 2.0 connections for compatibility with mice and keyboards.
